Re: Spectator Update

Good evening,

Today, Oct. 1, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals issued a stay of Judge Stickman’s decision regarding Gov. Wolf’s COVID-19 restrictions.  Unfortunately, that means effective immediately the 250 people outside and 25 people inside limits of gathering rule is back in effect. PIAA has issued the following press release advising member schools to follow the Governor’s order.

Therefore, at this time we have reinstated a No Spectator Policy for all football and volleyball games.  We understand this news is devastating to our parents and community and we are hopeful that the Governor will have updated recommendations in the near future.  This means tomorrow night’s football game will be closed to all parents and only available via our livestream, BHS Athletics YouTube channel.  We will not be honoring our senior football players and cheerleaders.  That tradition will be rescheduled to a later game in the season when we can provide an opportunity for you to enjoy it live.

We will continue to explore every avenue for you to enjoy your student athlete’s experience live.  Please expect another correspondence when we have updated information in the near future.  Again, we are sorry to be the bearer of bad news and encourage all family members and friends to enjoy the game via our livestream.
